Why did I Become A Lifestyle, Blogger? Hey guys, I hope you are well. In today’s post, I want to share why I became a lifestyle blogger. I wrote about How Blogging Changed My Life recently. If you have not checked it out, please be sure to read it as it’s a good one.
Why I Become A Lifestyle, Blogger?
There are many reasons why I became a lifestyle blogger. I decided to start blogging because I wanted to journal my new life as a single mother. I had so many stories to share, and I wanted to share them with the world. However, I realised that many single mothers like me are struggling to live their everyday lives. In this case, I wanted to offer support through my blog and show that being a single mother is not a ‘bad thing’. You can still do you.
Choosing a niche was not easy. I thought about selecting a ‘personal’ niche and a ‘motivational speaker’ type of niche. But those niches were particular, and I wanted something fun, bright and colourful – pretty much my personality. So I choose ‘Lifestyle’. Lifestyle creates a space that gives you a wide range of topics to talk about daily. It also gives you the freedom to be as creative as you want.
Creating content that is engaging within your community can be challenging. However, I made it easier for me as I share topics that are based on my reality. I also realised that there was a lot I had to learn, and I think having the will to succeed in helping other women or young people has motivated me to stay focus.
I love Writing
From a young age, I have always wanted to be a writer. I had a dream of becoming an author and people buying my books at the bookshop. I kept a journal when I was a teenager, and I loved it because it helped me through any issues. As a blogger, I can share my stories with the world and hopefully inspire others.
Well, not every blogger has a degree in communications. So I have also found that it helps me improve my writing skills and spelling and grammar. I have a feeling I will become a Best-Selling Author shortly.
Before I write a post, I will always do some research. Boy, there is a lot of research method that I use—includes the internet, books, tv shows etc. Sometimes, I take a walk, and I see something and ask myself how am I going to it to a blog post. Crazy, right?
My niche is Lifestyle, which is perfect because although I speak a lot about being a single parent, I can enhance my creativity. Lifestyle opens up a lot more opportunities for you to play around with. You have the freedom to do whatever you want to do.
Writing has always been my prefered form of communication. I like to send emails and text messages or chat, other than calls or Face TIme. I think this because I am deaf and have difficulties understanding different accent and tone of voice. Communicating with other bloggers have helped improved my socialising skills with both people online and offline.
Just like anything in life, Blogging has its ups and downs. I am pleased that I choose to be part of a wide range of communities that I can grow with and use my platform to help put the world better.
