Letter to my future self is a perfect way to reflect on when you have made it later in life. By writing a letter, you’ll see how far you have come. Earlier this year, I wrote Letter To My Younger Self. So I thought I’ll write a letter to my future self because she’ll probably need a friend to talk to if she ever read this. Sometimes you need to be reminded of the person you were vs now to be healthy. It would help if you decided whether whatever it is you going through right now is any worse than what you went through in the past.
Letter To My Future Self
Dear Mrs Something,
The reason you are reading this letter is probably that you need a friend to talk to. Well, I’m here. And I want you to you are doing so well, and everything is going to be alright. This is your life now, happily married, little siblings for Sasha-Ann. Isn’t this what you always wanted? A family of your own.
How’s the business going? Or your job? I hope you have left your career working as a receptionist and have started your own company? Girl, talk to me. How’s your mum – Lady Pradah, dad, sister, brother? Is there another addition to the family yet?
Anyway, girl, let’s talk. So what’s going on with you?
I want to remind you that you have come a long, a very long way. Been through a lot, that now life can only get better. If you have ever felt down, girl, stop it. Just stop putting yourself down. Stop being negative. You got this. If your husband is not showing you love, move on. Your mum is getting old, you have no one to run to, so you got to get up and be healthy for yourself and your family.
Life doesn’t get more comfortable, but it gets better as long as you know what you want. Sonia, if you are not married by the time you read this, know there’s nothing wrong with you. Your dream is much bigger than what a marriage could give you.
I pray you have met someone who is just perfect for you. Someone who wants to stand as the King and makes you his Queen – not a housewife. Someone who is not ashamed of you and who is scared to lose you. Therefore would do anything to keep his family together. If you’ve met this man, do not get carried away and forget about yourself and your dreams. It was hard to get this man, but its harder to keep him. That’s just the way it is.
How’s that going? Remember the designer company you have always spoken about? Girl, you tried. However, I did not think that would work when you first talked about it. Maybe you are doing something else now? A politician – standing up for people with disabilities? That’s one thing I know you are good are very good at – trying to save the world by always doing the right thing. The Blogs? How’s that going? Baking? Sonia Bakes Cakes, how many shops have you opened?
Where are you living now? You have always wanted to leave Scotland and move to the U.S.A. Are you there yet? How is it over there? Is it what you expect it to be like? Do Sasha-Ann and her siblings like it? I want to know more.
Are You Happy?
Like seriously, are you happy? I know people must tell you that you should be happy if your kids and husband are so glad. That’s not always the case! Do you remember your mum? She put her happiness aside, thinking the same thing. Then what happened? She started doing some silly things and making mistakes, and then you started hating her. Please do not let history repeat itself. Find a way to make you happy. Everyone else will follow.
