In case you have not noticed, we have started a new decade. Instead of the usual term, New Year New Me, I would like to change that to New Decade New Me. There are a few ways to change your life in 2020. However, I want to walk with you through 5 steps you can take to change your life.

How Do You Know It’s Time To Change Your Life?

The obvious answer to that is you will know when you are unhappy. In some cases, yes, that is true. However, what are you sad about? Is your living conditions? Is it your finance or your job? Maybe it’s the people around you? Or perhaps things are not just going your way? If you have been thinking about this in the past decade, then the time is Now.

Ask Your Self Why Do you want to Change Your Life?

Before you even begin to do anything, get a pen and a notepad or something. Write down why you want to change your life. List down things in your current lifestyle that you like and do not like and explain why.

Identify The Things You Want To Change

In other words, be specific. Instead of comparing your life with other people’s lives, be accurate and very detailed about the things you want to change. Ask yourself, can you change it? If the answer is no, but you still want to change it, go for it. Do whatever makes you happy every day of your life.

How To Change Your Life In 2020?

Mindset

You do this by changing your mindset. Changing your mindset and controlling your emotions are very important because they both hold what you do next. Most people wake up in the morning and immediately start thinking of their problems, plans for the day, going to work and coming home to their loved ones, etc. Some people even wake up and start thinking about what they will eat later in the evening.

Now I am all in with planning, but honey, you just woke up, and that’s the first thing you think about? Control your mindset by thinking about something positive and saying them out loud. For example, wake up in the more and say, ‘I can not wait to see what today brings’ or ‘I got a feeling that today is going to be a good day. Motivate Yourself

Do not sit around and wait for somebody to get things for you. I remember when I had a habit of asking someone to get something sorted for me due to a lack of confidence until someone said, ‘Sonia, it would be easier if you do it yourself so that you have more control over your life. Learning how to motivate yourself is a powerful personal skill you need to have. At the end of the day, life is a journey, and everyone is occupied on their journey.

Practice Self Love

There are many ways to practice Self-love; you are probably doing some now:

  • Taking responsibility for your life
  • Believe in yourself
  • Focus on what you have to be grateful for
  • Meditate daily
  • Speak Positive things about yourself to yourself
  • Be the Master of your life.

Challenge Yourself To Try Something New Daily

This could be anything like sleeping early, trying different cultural food etc. Trying something new daily is good because it will put you out of your comfort zone. You will be explored in a variety of Be kind to everyone, make new friends, and explore your city.
